  Computer-Assisted Evaluation

DIANA™ (French acronym for Dispositif Informatisé d’ANalyse Acoustique ) is a computerized system of acoustic analysis designed to study a variety of objective voice parameters including sound wave, pitch, intensity, stability…
This system includes a digital sound recorder allowing perceptual analysis of several recordings at the same time.

DIANA™ is a modular tool that can be used by

  A complete software and hardware system

New DIANA™ system operates on a Windows-based PC equipped with a USB interface. The system can be used on a portable PC computer .

The system consists of:

Analog IO version USB version

This two-part concept has a number of advantages including:

The DIANA™ system was designed to provide high-end sound quality. Professional features include

two-channel sound enabling various operating configurations

calibration system unit (buzzer) allowing adjustment of recording level according to the intensity of a reference signal;

built-in power supply for electret microphones (no batteries or external source required);

input connections allowing delayed analysis of samples recorded made with conventional and DAT recording devices;

output connections for audio tape recording.

 

  DIANA software

The DIANA™ system comes with a comprehensive software package specially developed for clinical voice and speech analysis. These applications are designed to calculate study parameters from data acquired by the DIANA™ system. All software operates in the user-friendly and highly efficient Windows environment. Data is presented in an easy-to-understand format.

A data log is kept to facilitate retrieval, classification and comparison. Commentary to be included in recordings.
